STEPHEN BYERS, DC CSCS
Dr. Byers received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University in Dallas, TX after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.
Dr. Byers believes that when patients move the wrong way, it can cause pain and complicate recovery. He uses a unique assessment procedure called the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) to evaluate the way patients move and how it is contributing to their pain. This unique assessment allows him to better tailor a patient’s care plan to their unique problems.
Dr. Byers has advanced training in Active Release technique (ART), which helps to reduce pain and inflammation and improve flexibility of the neck, shoulders, elbows, low back, hips, knees and ankles. These treatments are usually combined with exercises and activities, which retrain patients the proper way to move for faster and longer-lasting results.
Dr. Byers first discovered the benefits of healthcare that improves the body’s ability to move as a wrestler in high school. Today he uses his education and these experiences to improve the way others move, perform, and live.
